Kirkland residents have the opportunity to make their ideas heard regarding housing.
From 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, on the Google campus, the Kirkland Housing Strategy Advisory Group will host a public workshop to unveil the work they have done throughout the past eight months. They will share survey results and seek public feedback so they can incorporate community members’ ideas in their recommendations to City Council.
Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
Attendees are asked to RSVP online and encouraged to arrive by foot, bike or bus.
By foot or bike: From the Cross Kirkland Corridor, follow paths to the east when you reach Feriton Spur Park (just before the skybridge). Covered bike racks are available near building entrances.
By bus: Metro routes 255 and 245 run directly in front of the building, and the 234/235/238 stop is five minutes away on State Street South at 7th Avenue South.
By car: Drive to 747 6th St. S. All unmarked and “visitor” spots are open to all participants during this event. Attendees are asked to respect all other signed restrictions (i.e., disabled, HOV, low-emission, etc.).
The event will be in Building A (with the yellow doorways). The meeting is in the “Milky Way” room. Here is a campus map with walking routes (in blue) and parking areas (in purple).
