Dustin Hayward has joined EvergreenHealth’s spine and neurosurgical care practice.
Hayward brings clinical expertise in cerebrovascular and endovascular surgery to treat structural, biochemical and electrical conditions in the brain, spinal cord or other nerves.
He has performed thousands of minimally invasive endovascular surgeries to treat complications resulting from brain aneurysms, tangled cerebral blood vessels and stroke, as well as complex spine surgeries.
“The team of providers at EvergreenHealth spine and neurosurgical care is guided by a collective vision to create life-changing care by combining hope and compassion with powerful medicine,” said EvergreenHealth CEO Bob Malte in a press release. “We are proud to welcome Dr. Hayward, whose lifelong commitment to patient-centered neurosurgical care complements this approach.”
According to the release, Hayward brings a wide breadth of knowledge and experience treating a range of neurological disorders. He began his career pursuing educational and clinical training programs to best benefit his future patients. As a result, the release states that Hayward is now among a select group of nationally recognized neurosurgeons who are capable of treating cerebral aneurysms and strokes with both open and minimally invasive endovascular techniques.
Hayward received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego and pursued his neurological surgery residency at Loyola University. There, he also completed an intra-residency senior fellowship program in minimally invasive endoscopic brain tumor and skull base surgery. Following his residency, Hayward received fellowship training at Seattle’s Swedish Neuroscience Institute.
