ADHD expert Dr. Harlan Gephart will speak about “Hope for the Future” at the Eastside CHADD meeting from 7-9 p.m. Nov. 15 at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland.
Dr. Gephart will talk about steps parents can take to promote a positive future for their ADHD children.
Challenging behaviors today may well prove to be assets in adult life – parents can learn how to recognize and promote the positive strengths of their child.
Dr. Gephart has an extensive clinical background and is now a private practice consultant specializing in ADHD. He served as the medical director of the Center for Attention Deficit Disorders in Redmond.
He has trained many local and national pediatricians to diagnose and treat ADHD. He currently works with other experts in the ADHD field to train physicians at the REACH Institute in New York City.
Besides his clinical expertise, Dr. Gephart serves on the editorial board of two medical journals – Contemporary Pediatrics and Journal Watch, Pediatrics, and Adolescent Medicine.
Dr. Gephart is also a clinical professor of pediatrics at the UW.
The talk will be held at Evergreen’s Surgery and Physicians Center, 12040 N.E. 128th St., room Tan 101. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for library and social time.
The event is free for CHADD members; for nonmembers there is a $5 suggested donation.
