Eight students at Juanita High School (JHS) are recognized as ‘Top in Country’ for their scores on the Cambridge International examinations. Another 40 JHS students will receive ‘Outstanding Learner and Scholar’ awards for their test performance.
“We congratulate the students, teachers and administrators at JHS on their exceptional level of achievement,” said Mark Cavone, regional director of North America of Cambridge International in a press release.
The Cambridge Advanced Program is part of an internationally benchmarked program. The program allows students to earn college-level credit in high school. More than 600 U.S. colleges and universities now accept Cambridge exams for credit and placement. These awards celebrate and recognize the success of high-performing Cambridge students.
“The Cambridge program’s emphasis on the analysis, application, and communication of information has made education an interactive and engaging experience,” said Laura Chen, a senior at Juanita High School in a press release. “I’m incredibly honored to receive a Top in Country award from Cambridge. The Cambridge program has undoubtedly helped me prepare for life after graduation, and I’m looking forward to applying the skills I’ve learned in the years ahead.”

- Maggie Jiang – Physics (IGCSE Level)
- Jonah Kern – English Language (AS Level)
