EvergreenHealth was recognized recently by the Washington Health Alliance (WHA) in its 2018 Hospital Value Report for providing exceptional health care at the best value.
The annual report by the WHA identified EvergreenHealth as a leading hospital for consistent high performance in three key measures, including experience, quality and cost. The 2018 Hospital Value Report evaluated 48 Washington state hospitals and provides a snapshot that demonstrates the top-performing hospitals for high quality and exceptional patient experience, while also having a price analysis that’s lower than the state average.
“It is an honor to be recognized by the Washington Health Alliance for delivering on our commitment to our vision of being the community’s most trusted source for health care solutions,” said Bob Malte, CEO of EvergreenHealth in a press release. “It reaffirms our belief that patients deserve the best value, which we define as the highest quality, safety and exceptional patient experience – delivered in a cost-effective manner.”
Seattle’s Virginia Mason, Swedish Medical Center in Issaquah, and Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver were also recognized by WHA’s 2018 report for providing high-value health care to patients.
The report is based on risk-adjusted data from the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, publically available data on price, and with satisfaction survey data measuring a patient’s likelihood to recommend a hospital to family and friends.
WHA is a statewide partnership program focused on improving quality while reducing health care cost increases. For more information on its annual Hospital Value Report or to view the full report, visit www.wacommunitycheckup.org.
