From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 6, Kirkland residents will be able to renew their passport, meet a council member, and even share their opinion on a proposed bike share plan, all at City Hall for All.

City Hall for All is an annual event where the city of Kirkland welcomes residents to explore what’s happening at City Hall and access city services on a Saturday. Residents will be able to access utility billing, pet licensing, passport services, business licensing and the Parks Department counter. For those interested in passport services, the city recommends calling the day of the event to 425-587-3006 to check on wait times. Passport applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Residents will also have multiple opportunities to learn about city services and share their opinions on city programs. Focus groups on the Americans with Disabilities Act Plan for Kirkland and the Bike Share Pilot Program will give residents an opportunity to provide feedback on these city initiatives. Residents can also enjoy coffee with a council member.

“The city of Kirkland wants our residents to know that everyone is welcome at City Hall,” said Mayor Amy Walen in a press release. “City Hall for All is about making sure that services are available and accessible to all Kirkland community members.”

Various community organizations will also be onsite to provide information about community services and programs including King County Library System, Eastside Legal Assistance Program, Eastside Welcome Center Project, Waste Management, and more. There will also be supervised activities for children from 10 a.m. to noon so that parents can more easily conduct their city business.
