Tires slashed: At 9:30 p.m. in the 11600 block of 98th Avenue Northeast, a caller reported that between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., someone slashed their driver-side tires. The car was parked at an Allstate location. A nearby business is equipped with security cameras pointing toward the car’s location. Victim had no idea who would slash their tires.

Mailbox open: At 11:30 a.m. in the 12800 block of Northeast 112th Street, a mailbox was found open. Caller reported two others also being found open. Caller had previously reported her mail being stolen from her mailbox.

Jan. 8

Hit-and-run: At 6:57 a.m. in the 12200 block of Northeast Totem Lake Way, a subject driving eastbound in the 12200 block of Northeast Totem Lake Way collided with a backhoe illegally parked along the south curb. Both the backhoe and the vehicle took major damage and the driver had a minor injury. The driver fled to his Bellevue home in a cab and failed to notify police or the construction company of the collision. The driver was charged with hit and run.
