Parakeet tracking: At 11:01 a.m. in the 12000 block of Northeast 108th Place, a person called about a blue parakeet. It was flying around the yard. Then it wasn’t there. Wait, the reporting person sees it again. It is now hiding under a bush.
Pushy man: At 5:48 p.m. in the 8200 block of 122nd Avenue Northeast, there was a “pushy” man carrying a folder. He was soliciting throughout the neighborhood and was “very assertive.” He repeatedly asked a woman to open her door. He told her he just got out of prison last year.

Unwanted Facebook messages: At 10:25 a.m. in the 700 block of 9th Avenue South, a caller was upset because her ex-boyfriend’s friend has been messaging her on Facebook. The messages were not threatening. They were not criminal. It was just a mutual conversation. The friend is now blocked.
Not mine: At 4:29 p.m. in the 12000 block of Totem Lake Boulevard Northeast, a man tried to buy $40 worth of items from Rite Aid. He used a counterfeit $100 bill he claimed he did not know was fake. A forged check was found in his wallet. The man told police he found it on the ground and was trying to find the owner.

Public bubble bath: At 10:41 a.m. in the 900 block of Lake Street South, someone poured soap into the water fountain at Waters Edge condos. It caused a mountain of bubbles. The facilities manager then had the fountain and the bubbles pumped out and discharged directly into the Lake Washington storm drains. He was fined $4,000.

Watching it go down: At 2:51 p.m. in the 14000 block of 124th Avenue Northeast, someone called and reported a fight “going on right now” behind Safeway. The caller was not involved, just watching from behind some apartments. The fight was physical in nature. The caller didn’t see any weapons, but thinks she heard a taser.
