We’ve got spirit, yes we do: At 9 a.m. in the 5500 block of 108th Avenue Northeast, a caller was upset that Northwest University students were cheering and waving signs as new classmates were arriving on campus. The caller lives across the street from the school.
Bonsai trees for sale: At 1:16 p.m. at 100th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 132nd Street, there was a white Ford van on a vacant corner lot near Goodwill. The caller said it was private property but people treated the space as if it was public property. There was a subject selling bonsai trees out of the van.

Boat ‘disco show’: At 11:46 p.m. in the 100 block of Lake Street South, there were people on a boat with blue lights, at the end of Homeport Marina. There was a “huge stereo” and a “huge disco show.”
Aug. 25
You’re not fooling anyone: At 1:13 a.m. in the 12500 block of Northeast 85th Street, a man was spotted leaving the Rose Hill Safeway with a “large bulge” in his sweatshirt. Employees said they saw the man conceal booze and make a hasty exit for the store. The man attempted to reach his getaway car, being driven by a friend. He allegedly had a bottle of vodka and a six pack of tall boy Rainier beer cans.
Aug. 29
Assault: At 3:43 p.m. in the 10200 block of Northeast 132nd Street, a subject said his roommate punched him in the face while he was sleeping. He punched him a couple of different times. The roommate then showed the victim his rear end.
Refusing to return: At 10:49 a.m. in the 9200 block of Northeast 132nd Place, a man rented his car out through the sharing app HyreCar. His current customer was outside their contract by 14 days. After three days it could be reported stolen. The renter was contacted and agreed to return the car that day.
