Juanita golf passes by Liberty, falls to Mercer Island | Prep boys golf

The Rebels boys golf team traveled to Maplewood Golf Course for a conference meet against Liberty. Juanita won the match 199 strokes to the Patriot's 218.

The Rebels boys golf team traveled to Maplewood Golf Course for a conference meet against Liberty. Juanita won the match 199 strokes to the Patriot’s 218. Freshman Frank Garber finished first overall with 37 strokes, one over the course par, while Liberty’s Harrison Diemert and Juanita’s Michael Bell tied for second with 38. Colten Kleis was third at 39 strokes and Stephen Peppes took fourth with 41.

Earlier in the week the Rebels lost a close home match to Mercer Island 184-191. Garber tied for first with the Islanders Charlie Kern and Crawford Leeds, shooting a 33 at Wayne Golf Course. Kleis took fourth overall with a 35.

The Lake Washington boys golf team lost to Sammamish last week at Bellevue Golf Course. Sammamish finished with 200 strokes, while Lake Washington has 216.

Max Bunnell was fourth overall with a 41, six over the course par, while Erik Netzger tied for fifth with Patrick Raschko with 42.
