But the game did not start well for Lake Washington, as the team fell behind by five points during the first quarter. The Kangs found a rhythm on offense during the second period and a took a 28-25 lead into the half.

The teams played shot-for-shot during the third quarter but Lake Washington pulled away by outscoring the Islanders 20-12 during the fourth quarter.

Kelly Guy led the Kangs with 21 points, while teammates Jumal Muhammad (12) and Jeff Staudacher (11) both finished in double figures in scoring.
