Eastside The Compassionate Friends to hold candle lighting in memory of children

The Eastside chapter of The Compassionate Friends welcomes all family and friends to the 2011 Worldwide Candle Lighting ceremony, "Lights of Hope" on Sunday, Dec. 11 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Funeral Home.

The Eastside chapter of The Compassionate Friends welcomes all family and friends to the 2011 Worldwide Candle Lighting ceremony, “Lights of Hope” on Sunday, Dec. 11 at Sunset Hills Memorial Park & Funeral Home.

Commemorate and honor your child who has died too soon from any cause and at any age. All across the globe at 7 p.m. in each time zone, family and friends will light candles of remembrance that their light may always shine.

The Eastside chapter’s ceremony begins promptly at 7 p.m. at Sunset Hills, 1215 145th Place S.E. in Bellevue.

Arrive early to complete your child’s name card to be read aloud during the ceremony. Individual candles will be provided. Following the one-hour ceremony, light refreshments will be served.

If you are unable to attend, please light a candle wherever you are for your child at 7 p.m. Let it burn brightly adding to the light of thousands of other candles all across the globe in remembrance and with love for children who have died too soon.
