Business owner goes above and beyond to reduce glare | Letter

I want to publicly thank Ricky Eng, owner of Beach House Bar and Grill, for going above and beyond in responding to my request to reduce the glare from the security lights in the Beach House auxiliary parking lot on Lake Washington Boulevard.

I want to publicly thank Ricky Eng, owner of Beach House Bar and Grill, for going above and beyond in responding to my request to reduce the glare from the security lights in the Beach House auxiliary parking lot on Lake Washington Boulevard.

Last winter I brought to his attention that the lights were unnecessarily bright and shone into the windows of several neighbors as far as a block away. Ricky said he would address it. And he did.

The lights are now lower down on the pole, angled more downward, and seem to be even lower intensity. They are definitely no longer a problem.

It’s a pleasure to have such a responsible businessman as a neighbor. And the Beach House is by far the best iteration of all the restaurants ever at this location, including the old “Foghorn.”

Thanks, Beach House, and best wishes from your neighbors for your continued success.
