Otak, Inc., an award-winning engineering, urban design, architecture and planning firm in Kirkland, announced recently that Darcey Miller and Jenny Ngo have joined Otak as a senior wetland biologist and a planner, respectively.
Miller has joined Otak as a senior wetland scientist. She brings 13 years of multidisciplinary science experience and has worked on projects in Washington, California, Montana, and Louisiana. Prior to joining Otak, she worked as a shoreline biologist responding to the BP-oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and also as a biologist for a small planning firm based in Everett. Miller earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and
English from Mary Washington College in Virginia. Miller is currently working on conceptual wetland mitigation approaches for the City of Marysville and is providing natural resources services for numerous municipal on-call clients.
Ngo has joined Otak as a planner. Prior to joining Otak, she worked as a sustainability policy and planning intern at the City of Mercer Island and a commuter profiles designer with the University of Washington Commuter Services. Ngo earned her Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Planning from the University of California, San Diego and her Master of Urban Planning and Urban Design Certificate from the University of Washington. Ngo is currently providing on-call planning support to the City of Medina.
