Central Park Tennis Club, located near the north end of Bridle Trails State Park, may become the largest member-owned hard court indoor tennis club in the country, when members vote later this month to approve a proposed expansion of a new third building with four new tennis courts.

This would bring the club’s total court availability to 12 indoor and six outdoor courts. The expansion would also allow them to increase the voting members from 435 to 500, with 65 new memberships becoming available.

Central Park opened its doors in 1972 and has evolved over the years to the “Tennis Player’s” club offering tennis for all ages and abilities.

The club’s well-recognized junior program starts with children age 3-18. Some of the top-ranked players in the country, like 14-year-old Henrik Wiersholm and the number one recruit for the Huskies and second ranked 18-year-old in the country, Emmet Egger, call Central Park home.

The club will host the Adult USTA League playoffs June 17-19 and the Washington State Junior Champs tournament July 15-17. Central Park will also be a site for the MXD Event hosted by Bellevue Club, July 29-30. This event benefits First Place School. All of these events are open to the public.
