State Rep. Roger Goodman’s strong record on drunk driving has been outrageously distorted by his opponent through false robo-calls and TV ads.

On the contrary, Goodman has worked to keep us safe on the road by passing drunk driving legislation that is a model for the nation. According to the Washington State Traffic Commission, Goodman’s legislation has resulted in a 36 percent decline in alcohol-related deaths and serious injuries on Washington’s roads in the last two years.

Voters should know that public safety is one of Goodman’s top priorities and that he has been enormously successful at passing laws that make us safer on the roads. In fact, Goodman has won both the Mothers Against Drunk Driving’s national “Legislator of the Year” award, and the “Safety Champion” award from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration because of his groundbreaking work on ignition interlock devices which keep drunk drivers off the road.

Look it up and vote with the facts. Roger Goodman is a public safety champion.
