The Robert Frost Elementary PTSA recently awarded this year’s Golden Acorn Award to Cassandra Sage, who has headed up the PTSA art docent and reflections committees and has helped out on various other PTSA events.

During the recognition event, Sage’s son, Cort, who has since been deployed to Iraq, presented her the award, along with her two other sons in the first and sixth grades.

The annual Golden Acorn Award is given to a special person in the community that gives above and beyond and makes a difference.
