Six Evergreen Primary Care doctors recently received recognition for their work as providers of the highest level of diabetes care from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. The six include Robert Bayles and Greg Aeschliman of Family Medicine of Redmond; Christopher Telge, Milton Curtis and Tim Anderson of Evergreen Primary Care in Kenmore; and Larry Johnson from Evergreen Primary Care Woodinville.
The Diabetes Recognition Program, approved by the American Diabetic Association, requires physicians to work with patients in controlling blood pressure, LDL, blood sugars, to provide cessation advice or treatment for smoking and perform regular nephropathy assessments and eye examinations.
In addition, the doctors can refer patients to Evergreen Hospital Medical Center’s extensive diabetes services. These include a diabetes prevention program and diabetes management sessions. A complete list and description of classes can be found on the hospital’s Web site at www.evergreenhospital.org. Most insurance providers, including Medicare and Medicaid, will cover diabetes classes. To register or for more information on the classes, go to 425-899-3000.
