Ten Evergreen Hospital Medical Center nurses were honored Tuesday with Nursing Excellence Awards. The winners were selected from 71 nominations submitted by co-workers. The awards are presented annually as part of Evergreen’s National Nurses’ Week celebration.
Winners included Corinna Cunningham and Susan Hanser for Clinical Care, Diann Bagley for Innovation and Creativity, Lindsay Dulin for Patient Advocacy, Sandra Kreider for Education, Wilma Sameshima for Research and Advancing the Profession, Dixie Wyckoff-Raney for Mentoring and Anne Kinnaman for Leadership. Patricia Gilosa-DeAngelis was named the Rising Star and Karen Ketner was given the Chief Nursing Officer award. Bob Malte, Evergreen’s new chief executive officer; Mary Jim Montomgery, vice president of patient services, and Cheryl Nail, vice president and chief nursing officer, presented the awards.
