The following is a release from the Shelley Kloba campaign:

Shelley Kloba has received the endorsement of Congresswoman Suzan DelBene in her bid to retain Position No. 2 on Kirkland City Council.

“Shelley Kloba has proven that she will stand up for Kirkland,” DelBene said. “As a Kirkland City Council member, she has tirelessly worked to reduce traffic congestion and expand open spaces. And I know she is the right person for the job.”

“I am happy to have received the endorsement of Congresswoman Suzan DelBene,” Kloba said. “She has been great to work with in Washington, D.C., when I went with other Councilmembers to lobby her on behalf of Kirkland. She is also willing to roll up her sleeves and work right here in the district on projects like this one with the Green Kirkland Partnership last fall, where we both enjoyed eradicating invasive plants from Everest Park. She is a person who works as hard as I do for the benefit of Kirkland.”

Kloba was elected to the position in November, 2013, after being appointed to the position in April, 2013. She is up for reelection on the Nov. 3 ballot.
