Five teams from Lake Washington School District — two from Evergreen Middle School, two from Redmond Middle School and one from International Community School in Kirkland — recently competed in the Math is Cool Master Competition in Moses Lake.

The International Community School team of sophomores Alex Maicaneanu, Ariana Manu and Steven Li and freshman Kartik Iyer took first place in Division I.

In addition to team awards, seven students took home individual awards:
