Approximately 300 trick-or-treaters “creeped” through downtown Kirkland during Halloween and collected tasty treats from participating businesses.

Debbie Lamont, owner of Bombaii Cutters on Kirkland Avenue, says the amount of trick-or-treaters who visited her business may have set a record for them this year.

“Best Halloween ever,” said Lamont, whose business was also lined out front with more than a dozen carved pumpkins. She held a staff contest and the winner of the best-carved pumpkin received $50. Everyone who came by the business voted.

The annual trick-or-treating event is sponsored by the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce, explorekirkland.com and the Kirkland Downtown Association.
