Rep. Suzan DelBene invites all high school-aged artists to submit work for competition

Congresswoman Suzan DelBene is reminding local high school-aged students that her office is accepting submissions for the annual Congressional Art Competition until 5 p.m. on April 4.

Congresswoman Suzan DelBene is reminding local high school-aged students that her office is accepting submissions for the annual Congressional Art Competition until 5 p.m. on April 4.

The contest is open to all students in grades 9-12 who either reside or attend high school in Washington’s 1st Congressional District. The winning entry will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year, and runners-up will be displayed in DelBene’s congressional office.

To participate, students must complete and submit an entry form which they can get by going to http://delbene.house.gov/serving-you/art-competition or by calling 425-485-0085.

Entry forms need to be signed by the student, parent or guardian, and faculty member and then mailed or delivered to the Congresswoman’s office. Artwork may be delivered or mailed to the Congresswoman’s Bothell office at:

DelBene will host an awards reception to showcase the student artwork, honor all participants and announce awards on April 24 at the VALA Art Center located at 7303 164th Ave. NE in Redmond.
