The Houghton Community Council is accepting applications for an appointment to Position 7, which will be vacated by a resignation.
To be eligible to apply, you must: Reside within the territorial boundaries of the former Town of Houghton as of the date of its consolidation with the city (August 1968); be a registered King County voter; and be required to file the elected office holders’ annual public disclosure form with the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission.
Completed applications must be submitted to the city Clerk prior to 4 p.m. July 18 and are available at www.kirklandwa.gov, at the City Hall information Desk, 123 Fifth Avenue, or by calling 425-587-3190. Appointment to this vacancy will be made by the Houghton Community Council.
The appointment will expire upon certification of the 2013 general election. The Houghton Community Council is the elected council for the Houghton Community Municipal Corporation.
