The Lake Washington High School boys basketball team edged Mercer Island, 64-63, on Friday on Mercer Island.

The Islanders built a 38-28 halftime lead before Lake Washington took over during the third quarter. The Kangs cut the lead by six points during the third period and then completed the comeback with a 15-10 fourth quarter advantage.

Kyle DePartee led Lake Washington with 18 points, while Beau Heimdahl had 14 points and Sahil Basra contributed scored 11.
