Ran alleged brothel on Market Street
A federal grand jury charged a Thai woman Friday with conspiracy to transport individuals for prostitution at brothels in Kirkland, Bellevue and SeaTac.
Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents arrested SeaTac resident Chomphoonut Dongird, A.K.A. “Lisa,” Oct. 9 and alleged her responsibility in orchestrating the recruitment and operation of brothels at 1942 Market St., Kirkland; 16407 Lake Hills Blvd., Bellevue; and 3312 S. 192 St., SeaTac, according to the indictment. Dongird pleaded not guilty to the charge.
She faces five years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine, if found guilty. Authorities say Dongird is a legal foreign resident in the United States.
The case remains under investigation.
