A Seattle couple who police believe are behind 100 crimes – including a Kirkland condo burglary – pleaded not guilty to several charges in King County Superior Court this month.

Convicted felon Eric John Petrin, 37, pleaded not guilty on May 9 to four charges, including second-degree burglary, violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and residential burglary.

Petrin’s pregnant girlfriend, 25-year-old Meagan Ann Blankenship, pleaded not guilty to second-degree burglary and violation of the Uniform Controlled Substances Act on May 2.

Both are being held in King County Jail.

Kirkland police caught the two prolific burglars on April 25 after they received two tips from Washington’s Most Wanted viewers.

Amongst the 100 burglaries and car prowls the couple is suspected of committing is a Kirkland condo burglary in the Moss Bay neighborhood on Feb. 11.

The condo’s video surveillance caught Petrin entering the garage and stealing an iMac computer from the tenant mail drop. The video also captured images of Blankenship stealing a road bicycle.

Police later arrested the couple at their Seattle apartment, which they searched and found a stolen shotgun and guitar. They also found a safe containing baggies of meth and crack cocaine, and a cellphone that police believe the couple used to sell drugs.

Petrin’s criminal history includes 12 felony convictions, three of which are serious offenses that disqualify him from possessing firearms, according to court documents.

The court set his bail at $150,000 based on the likelihood that he may commit a violent offense, according to court documents.

Blankenship’s bail was set at $30,000.
