Between Nov. 2-8 the Kirkland Police Department reported 474 traffic violations (six DUIs), seven school zone traffic violations, 31 alarm calls, 14 noise complaints, 14 calls of disturbance, 19 thefts, 24 car prowls, 28 acts of traffic abandonment, two animal calls, 15 calls of civil disturbance, seven reported burglaries, 10 domestic violence calls, 10 calls for harassment, three reports of illegal drugs, two alleged assaults, 13 acts of fraud, three car thefts, nine malicious mischief reports, one sex offense and three reported suicides. At least 27 people were arrested.

Nov. 8

Trespass: 6:42 a.m., 9820 N.E. 132nd St. A 49-year-old man was arrested for trespassing at Kirkland Rite Aid. Police seized his backpack with socks inside and a wallet with an ORCA ID for safe keeping.

Domestic: 5:35 p.m., 14033 97th Ave. N.E. A 56-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly punched her 24-year-old daughter-in-law in the stomach three times. The victim was transported to EvergreenHealth and the suspect went to Snohomish County jail.

Nov. 7

Domestic violence: 1:50 p.m., 451 4th Ave. S. A 42-year-old man allegedly assaulted his 15-year-old son during a disturbance at their apartment. Both parties had visible injuries. The suspect was booked into Kirkland jail.

Nov. 6

Harassment: 2:14 p.m., 10200 N.E. 132nd St. A 14-year-old boy was arrested after he threatened staff members of a school associated with Fairfax Hospital. The student allegedly harassed three adults.

Warrant: 12 p.m., 10601 N.E. 132nd St. A 17-year-old boy was arrested for an outstanding King County Juvenile Court warrant after he was contacted off the campus of Juanita High School.

Nov. 3

Assault: 10 p.m., 13335 N.E. 136th Pl. A 40-year-old man was arrested after he got into a physical altercation with his 45-year-old girlfriend. Kirkland police had to enter the home via a sliding door after no one answered.

Malicious Mischief: 4 p.m., 10420 N.E. 112th St. A 32-year-old woman was taken into custody after showing up at her 41-year-old ex-husband’s house, causing a disturbance and breaking their 3-year-old daughter’s safety gate and children’s video. The victim requested a no-contact order. The two have been divorced for a year-and-a-half.

Nov. 2

Assault: 4:30 p.m., 12600 84th Ave. N.E. A 44-year-old man, who has outstanding arrest warrants, was taken into custody after assaulting another resident of Tent City 4.

Assault: 6:50 p.m., 8325 N.E. 140th St. A 30-year-old man was arrested for assaulting his 27-year-old girlfriend. A Walther P22 (gun) was taken as evidence.
