Big Brothers, Big Sisters welcomes new CEO

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound’s Board of Directors is thrilled to announce the return of Patrick D’Amelio as the agency’s next President and CEO. Patrick served as the President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters from 2003-2007, during which time the organization experienced double digit growth both in programs and revenue for four consecutive years.

For the past three years, D’Amelio has served as CEO for the Alliance for Education, where he helped refocus its mission and worked closely with Seattle Public Schools.

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Patrick back to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Over the past three years, Patrick has grown as a leader and furthered his reputation for excellence. He will be bringing many new skills, relationships and strategies that our agency will greatly benefit from,” said Erin McCallum, Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Board of Directors.

“I am very much looking forward to returning to Big Brothers Big Sisters,” said D’Amelio. “I have had an amazing experience at the Alliance, but feel that now that is the right time for me to return to more direct service to our community’s children.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound is looking forward to many rewarding years ahead with D’Amelio at the helm, leading our efforts to reach more children than ever in the Puget Sound region. D’Amelio’s tenure begins Dec. 14. Visit www.bbbsps.org.
