Fifteen residential streets in the Market, Norkirk, Bridle Trails and South Rose Hill neighborhoods that were originally scheduled for closure on Aug. 13 will remain open today, thanks to wet weather.

Rain forced Kirkland’s slurry seal contractor to postpone until Aug. 18 the work scheduled on those streets.

The rescheduled street sections in the Market and Norkirk neighborhoods are:

7th Avenue West, from 4th Street to 2nd Street

10th Avenue West, from 4th Street to Market Street

11th Avenue West, from 4th Street to Market Street

16th Avenue West, from 8th Street to 6th Street

17th Avenue West, from 6th Street to 8th StreetWest

1st Street, from 19th Avenue to 20th Avenue

3rd StreetWest, from Market Street to 5th Avenue

6th StreetWest, from 17th Avenue to Market Street

124th Avenue Northeast, from Northeast 65th Court to the end of the Street

Northeast 75th Street, from 116th Avenue Northeast to 120th Avenue Northeast

Northeast 74th Street, from 119th Avenue Northeast to the west end of the Street

Northeast 65th Court, from 122nd Avenue Northeast to 124th Avenue Northeast

Northeast 62nd Street, from 122nd Avenue Northeast to 123rd Avenue Northeast

The wet weather forecasted yesterday also forced Kirkland’s slurry seal contractor to reschedule to Aug. 19 work on sections of 17 neighborhood streets in the Bridle Trails and South Rose Hill neighborhoods. Those postponed sections are:
