In early September, the King County Wastewater Treatment Division will begin work to upgrade the Kirkland Pump Station and force main to replace aging pump station equipment and to increase the capacity of the pump station.

Force main work will be carried out on Kirkland Avenue from Third Street to Railroad Avenue, where new pipelines will be connected to King County’s existing conveyance system.

Work on Third Street pipelines is already completed in partnership with Sound Transit’s Kirkland Transit Center Project.

A public meeting will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Peter Kirk Community Center, 352 Kirkland Ave.
