The Juanita High School girls soccer team pounded Interlake Friday 4-0, making up for a loss to Mercer Island to start the regular season.
The Rebels were led by Danika Bethune against the Saints, as she put three balls into the back of the net for a hat trick.
It only took Bethune five minutes to get her first goal of the game, as teammate Karissa Radke fed her teammate a pass, setting her up for the first score. Two minutes later, Rebel Tori Lee passed the ball to Alanna Coker for the team’s second goal of the game.
Following 51 scoreless minutes, Juanita’s Kajso Sporseen found Bethune for her second score at the 58-minute mark, widening the lead to 3-0.
Radke and Bethune hooked up again at the 67-minute mark for the team’s final score, completing the hat trick.
Juanita had tied all three of its preseason games.
The two regular-season games last week leaves Juanita in third place in 3A KingCo with a record of 1-1 in league play and 1-1-3 overall.
The Rebels will host Mount Si at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
