Kirkland tennis champion Henrik Wiershlom qualified for the World Junior Tennis Finals in the Czech Republic this August.

Kirkland tennis champion Henrik Wiershlom qualified for the World Junior Tennis Finals in the Czech Republic this August.

Wiershlom was a member of the U.S. World Juniors team which won it’s region during the North/Central American and Caribbean Regional championships last week in Merida, Mexico.

The boys team lost just one match over three days to win the event. Wiershlom competed in all three matches as the No. 1 singles player and partnered with Stefan Kozlov, who won all their doubles matches.

The World Junior Tennis teams are comprised of players 14 and under.

The World Finals will be August 1-6 in Prostejov, Czech Republic.
