Three Northwest University men’s basketball players honored by Cascade Conference

Three Northwest University Eagle men’s basketball players have earned honorable mention All-Cascade Conference honors for the 2014-15 season. Seniors Nemanja Grujicic and Thomas Jordan along with sophomore Dak Shagren were named to the list as announced by the league office Wednesday.

Three Northwest University Eagle men’s basketball players have earned honorable mention All-Cascade Conference honors for the 2014-15 season. Seniors Nemanja Grujicic and Thomas Jordan along with sophomore Dak Shagren were named to the list as announced by the league office Wednesday.

Grujicic, from Ratkovo, Serbia, was the team’s third leading scorer with a 13.6 points per game average and led the team in rebounding with a 6.8 rebounds per game average. He finishes his NU career with 1,085 points and 739 rebounds. Grujicic was also named Cascade Conference Player of the Week in February.

Jordan, from Pasadena, Calif., averaged 8.4 points per game for the Eagles and was second in assists with 88. He shot 47 percent for the season and led the team in three-point shooting with a 44 percent field goal average.

Shagren, from Custer, Wash., was the team’s leading scorer with 380 points and a 14.6 points per game average for the season. He shot 42 percent overall and 41 percent from beyond the three-point arc. Shagren led the team in free throw shooting going 53-for-67 for a 79 percent average.
