Twenty high school junior girls from Lake Washington School District will be honored for their achievements in STEM classes and other activities at a reception sponsored by the Kirkland-Redmond Branch of AAUW.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. on March 16 at the LWSD Administration Building.
Eleven of the young women being honored live in or attend schools in Kirkland.
Smith represents the 9th Congressional District and Schrier represents the 8th Congressional District.
