The Lake Washington girls soccer team ended on Saturday, Nov. 5 with a 1-0 loss to Eastside Catholic. The Kangs were looking for a win to get into the 3A state tournament.
Racers from Juanita and Lake Washington high schools ran in Saturday’s state meet in Pasco, Wash. After qualifying in the SeaKing district race the week before, the runners headed east for the 3A state event.
The Lake Washington football team fell in the final game of the season, losing to Metro opponent Lakeside 28-27.

The Lake Washington girls soccer team took another step toward the 3A state tournament on Wednesday evening after winning the KingCo tournament championship. The Kangs beat Bellevue 1-0 in the final KingCo tournament game.
The Lake Washington girls soccer team began the post season this week. After an overtime win over Mercer Island the team faces Bellevue tonight.
The Kangs will host Bellevue on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at LWHS in the second round of the KingCo tournament. A win over the Wolverines would move the Kangs into a pig-tail game against a Metro opponent to be held on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 3:30 p.m. To earn the district’s final spot into the state tournament, the Kangs would need to beat the Metro opponent.
Mercer Island secured a last win of the regular season beating Lake Washington 52-7 on Friday, Oct. 28.
Despite the loss, the Kangs will play the final game of the season against Lakeside on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Lake Washington High School.
