Air Van, Lines, Inc., a family-owned moving company based in Kirkland, has donated $10,000 to help sponsor the 2010 Pediatric Luncheon to benefit children and their families served by Providence Hospice of Seattle. The 11th annual luncheon, “Making a Difference in a Child’s Life,” is the largest single event supporting both Providence Hospice of Seattle Foundation and the Safe Crossings Foundation. It will be held on Sept. 30 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. The generous donation will be used to support Providence Hospice of Seattle’s children’s hospice and grief support programs.
“We are so grateful to Air Van Lines and the Galvagno family for their generous gift,” said Gary Crum, director of Providence Hospice Foundation. “It will help the kids and families we serve deal with the difficulties of facing a life-limiting illness and help them to work through any challenging times that they may face.”
Proceeds from the lunch will benefit children’s hospice, palliative care and grief support programs, including Safe Crossings, Camp Erin™-King County and Stepping Stones.
Participants will not be charged for the lunch, but a gift of $125 will be requested. To register for the event, contact Jill Perry at jill.perry@providence.org or 206-749-7956.
