Allyis, Inc., a Kirkland-based technology and personnel company honored for its “Spirit of Giving” earlier this year by United Way of King County, participated in four charitable events this spring.
Allyis leadership and employees climbed 69 flights of stairs up the Columbia Center tower in Seattle as part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Big Climb. The event raised a total of $1.3 million to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
Fifty-four employees participated in Allyis’ second annual pool and ping-pong tournament and raised $1,300 for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Northwest. Two Allyis employees’ children have juvenile diabetes and this event not only allows employees to support JDRF but also their colleagues.
The company and its employees contributed $700 worth of food and monetary donations to Northwest Harvest. The company then participated in a volunteer day where employees bagged, sealed, and boxed 11,800 pounds of corn.
Sixty-four members of the Allyis Team ran on May 17 for Nordstrom’s annual “Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes”. Allyis raised nearly $6,000.
