Beach Café, located lakeside at Carillon Point in Kirkland, announces the launch of “Beach Madness,” a series of college basketball team and mascot-themed menu items, specialty drinks and contests in coordination with the 2010 NCAA Tournament running through April 5. Throughout Beach Madness, guests can compete in the “Three Point Challenge” at a basketball hoop outside the restaurant to benefit the Detlef Schrempf Foundation (DSF).
Founded in 1996 by Detlef Schrempf and his wife, Mari, the DSF is committed to supporting organizations that provide hope, care and assistance to Northwest children and their families. Since its inception, the foundation has raised more than $9 million through its charity events.
“It is an honor to work with the Beach Café, which shares the same vision of strengthening community by working together,” said Detlef Schrempf.
“We are excited to offer locals a place to enjoy watching the NCAA Tournament, while also providing an opportunity to benefit a great local cause, the Detlef Schrempf Foundation,” said Janor Bourgerie, General Manager of Beach Café. “All basketball fans will have fun enjoying the team camaraderie and playful competition provided by Beach Madness, making Beach Café the place to be on NCAA game days.”
