Chainline Brewing Company has begun a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to pay for a deck that will overlook the Cross Kirkland Corridor outside of their microbrewery. With a goal of raising $15,000 by early December, the business has already received $10,066 in pledges as of today.

According to Scott Holm, who owns Chainline Brewing with his wife, Michelle, they raised 30 percent of their goal in the first day alone.

The brewery, located near Google on 6th Street South, plans to open sometime early next year.

In addition to a tasting room, Scott and Michelle Holm envision a deck overlooking the Cross kirkland Corridor and cyclists, many of whom they hope will stop by for a pint.

“Think sidewalk café for the trail users,” the Kickstarter campaign description reads. “For now let me leave you with the thought of enjoying the afternoon and evening sun from our deck while sampling a pint of our latest creations…”

The beer will be brewed using a Czech 10 hectoliter brewery they found on the island of Kochi in southern Japan. Their beers will range from Wit beers and stouts to IPAs.
