Crave Health Kirkland to host launch party to celebrate new location

Crave Health, a private nutrition practice in Kirkland, is hosting a launch party on Wednesday, Feb. 1 to celebrate its expansion and recent move to the waterfront at Carillon Point.

This free, open-house style event will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. at the new Crave Health headquarters located at 2260 Carillon Point, Kirkland.

Says Ashley Besecker, RD, CD, owner, “Crave Health is the perfect balance of evidenced-based, top-notch medical nutrition therapy with the fun and glamour of enjoying food & drink to its fullest extent. This event will be the perfect way to show our unique approach to a healthy, balanced life.”

The party will feature Skinnygirl cocktails, Girly Girl & Matthews wine, and mocktails, as well as light appetizers and cake pops from Dianne’s Delights.

Raffle prizes will be awarded and swag bags containing an amazing collection of goodies including a coupon for a free brow wax at GEM, a free class at Fly Fitness, and samples of a variety of nutritional supplement and bars, will be handed out to the first 30 guests.

In addition, attendees will be able to purchase supplements and services at a significant discount all night long.

Originally from Woodinville, Besecker has been a practicing registered dietitian for four years and opened Crave Health in Kirkland in January of 2009. She began her career as nutrition director of an eating disorder treatment center before moving into private practice.

Besecker recently welcomed licensed mental health counselor Melissa Wohlhueter, MA, LMHC to the team, whose therapeutic orientation borrows from a variety of modalities with cognitive behavioral therapy as primary.

Both nutritional counseling and mental health counseling are offered at Crave Health as a whole person approach to lifestyle changes, overall wellness, and treatment of chronic conditions.
