HealthSource Chiropractic in Kirkland joins fight against hunger

HealthSource Chiropractic and Progressive Rehab has entered into the fight against hunger in the communities in which it serves.

HealthSource Chiropractic and Progressive Rehab has entered into the fight against hunger in the communities in which it serves. Currently, there are more than 320 offices nationwide recognizing this problem and doing their part, including Kirkland.

HealthSource, a chiropractic franchise, was ranked the fastest-growing franchise in America by Franchise Times for two years in a row. With their vast and growing numbers, they hope to be able to have a greater impact on bringing awareness to this issue. According to the USDA, hunger remains a pervasive problem in the U.S. with more than 35 million Americans living on the brink of hunger. Other recent statistics show that about 70 percent of people seeking emergency food assistance are living below the federal poverty line; nearly 40 percent have at least one adult working in their household.

For the month of November, HealthSource offices will be offering their first day services to all new patients for the donation of canned food items. These items will then be brought to their drop off points to be given to the needy families.

Although the first day services that can be included in their campaign may differ slightly from state to state due to local regulations, all participating locations will make those adjustments accordingly.
