Fleet mechanic lead Ken James was recently honored for his 30 years of service at the Northshore Utility District. James was originally hired as a senior mechanic in 1992, and by 2003, was promoted to lead mechanic.

“Fleet Mechanic Lead Ken James has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to serving others in the community throughout his 30 years,” said General Manager Al Nelson. “He has remained a steady dependable pillar and contributor in our organization.”

Since being hired, James has served as a telemetry technician, a facility technician, an emergency responder, and a mentor and coach to his coworkers, according to Northshore Utility District.

“Ken has been willing to fill any role that is needed,” said Nelson.

Northshore Utility District provides water and sewer services to over 85,000 individuals residing in Kenmore, Kirkland, Lake Forest Park, Bothell and Woodinville. Northshore Utility District was originally established in 1947 to fill environmental and public health needs.
