Otak, Inc. hires two new staff members at Kirkland office

Otak, Inc., an award-winning engineering, urban design, architecture and planning firm, announced recently that Matthew Ellis and Darwin Allen have joined the Otak.

Otak, Inc., an award-winning engineering, urban design, architecture and planning firm, announced recently that Matthew Ellis and Darwin Allen have joined the Otak. They will be working out of the firm’s Kirkland office.

Ellis, PE, has joined Otak as a civil engineer in their Transportation and Infrastructure Design Group. He brings eight years of experience in roadway, sidewalk, drainage and site design and construction inspection services for a variety of municipal projects. Prior to joining Otak, Ellis worked as an engineer in the Public Works Department at the city of Woodinville. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Washington State University. Ellis is currently working on projects for Snohomish County and The Boeing Company.

Allen has joined Otak as a CAD technician. He brings more than 16 years of AutoCAD and technical support experience, primarily consisting of civil support for a variety of airport and commercial projects. Allen earned his Associate of Science degree from Lake Washington College and is a member of the American Drafting Design Association.
