Seattle’s Zaw Artisan Bake at Home Pizza recently opened the doors to their newest location on Kirkland Way, across the street from the library and swimming pool in Kirkland.
Launched in 2008, Zaw has brought its concept of fresh, seasonally inspired bake-at-home pizzas to eight Seattle and area neighborhoods despite the tough economic environment over the past few years.
Focused on northwest farms and suppliers and their concept of SOUL as a sourcing guideline – Seasonal, Organic, Unique, Local – Zaw creates unique combinations of pizzas and salads that customers can enjoy fresh out of the oven, in their own home. In addition to pizzas and salads, Zaw offers delicious, big bake-at-home cookies and homemade ice cream.
“We couldn’t wait to get to Kirkland,” said Greg Scott, Zaw’s co-founder. “For the past couple of years we have been patiently working on finding just the right location in Kirkland, and we think we have found it with super easy access and right in the heart of activity.”
Another unique feature is the 100 percent Pacific Northwest wine and beer list.
“We’ve always emphasized pairing up pizza selections with great local beer and wine that is crafted in our Northwest backyard,” said Scott. “We feel our current selection provides value grocery priced options to perfectly round out a ‘great night-in’.”
A customer favorite is the Classic Combo, which includes any pizza, a bottle of Lone Birch wine, and a large salad, all for $30, every night of the week.
The new Kirkland location is located on Kirkland Way in the Fox Cleaners building across from the library, at 339 Kirkland Way, and will open daily at noon. Zaw Kirkland can be contacted at (425) 298-4443 and online orders can be placed at www.zaw.com.
