After reading comments about the ARC defeat and the mourning going on over it, I was particularly amused by the comments of our mayor. Be it the “Kirkland Way” or not to fairly levy a proportionate sum to tax payers for the project, I certainly wouldn’t show up at Ford of Kirkland and leave in a new vehicle with the terms being “we’ll let you know what it costs later.”

If the city is serious about having a new aquatic facility they need to find a suitable location, get numerous bids for its’ construction, figure cost overruns (because there always are) and then present an actual funding plan that taxpayers can consider.
