We live near the top of Finn Hill and are in favor of building a fire station nearby. The plan has been stymied by a small group of residents who are opposed to anything constructed in their neighborhood.

They, in my opinion, do not represent the neighborhood as a whole only their own self-interest. I suggest the city of Kirkland revisit the previous plan to build the station near the intersection of 141st Street and Juanita Drive.

This is the most logical location and will serve the entire Finn Hill area residents even when access to Finn Hill is limited or not available due to flood, fire or storm which can and do occur throughout the area.
