I found out that the Lake Washington School District wants to raise taxes. I figured out the amount it will cost me it is almost $900 per year. I got a 2 percent pay increase last summer, it was the first one in five years. That pay increase will not cover this tax, so I will fall further behind again. I will be retiring soon and I am moving out of King County. I can’t afford to live here. I don’t mind paying for education, it is important, but not this much.
