Democrats have had their chance

An observation to the so called “opinion” by Andrew Villeneuve in the Feb. 17 issue of the Reporter. This wasn’t much of an opinion. It was really just a slapped together hack job of Democrat talking points.

Mr. Villeneuve stated that President Obama called for a new era of cooperation in politics. It’s too bad that Obama is such an obstructionist that won’t listen to any Republican ideas. Obama has turned his back to the minority party and has acted as an arrogant ruler that is not willing to cooperate with others. President Obama is now known as the great divider. It’s his way or nothing. I don’t see any cooperation from him, Harry Reid, or Nancy Pelosi. They are all obstructionists.

The Democratic party runs the White House, Senate, and Congress in Washington D.C. The Democrats have also run the governorship of the state of Washington, the state Senate and House. The Democrats have run it all for years and can’t seem to fix a damn thing. The Democrats have had their chance here and in DC. Throw the bums out!

The Democrats should not overturn Initiative 960. It was voted into law by the people of the State of Washington. How do the arrogant Democrats dare to overturn what the people voted into law? Do you really want people like this running our state? The Democrats just gave you the finger and they don’t care what you voted for. This state and our nation needs to cut the budget. Most families in our area have cut their budgets. Why should the government be different? If you can’t afford it, don’t spend it.

I wonder if the Northwest Progressive Institute keeps to their budget or if they run huge defecits like Obama. Look at their vision and goals from their Web site. Doesn’t sound like they want to work with Republicans and help all Americans:

* Oppose the conservative right in their efforts to expand our dependence on fossil fuels, pass whopping tax cuts that benefit the rich, invade other countries pre-emptively, take away health benefits from our elderly citizens, and bring attention to problems the the right postpones or dilutes.

* Criticize President George W. Bush and his terrible policies, hold his cronies accountable, and challenge the administration’s grip on the American public.

* Provide a Pacific Northwest perpsective and voice for the left at a time when the right, encouraged by President Bush’s immunity in the aftermath of Sept. 11, is set seeking a ruinous course for our nation.

I suggest that Obama, Reid, Peloci, Gregoire and their ilk have screwed up this country more than George Bush ever did. I didn’t think much of Bush’s policies but I really dislike the Democrats policies of 2010.
