Don’t mess with my USPS

Whoa, I missed Jeff Jared’s recent “let’s scrap the post office” editorial. Congress shall have the power “To establish Post Offices and PostRoads” – it says so in the U.S. Constitution.

Now we know Republicans are trying their best to scrap the USPS, hand it over to some private company, pay some CEO generous millions to run it, fire all union employees, reduce the number of post offices, reduce services overall, and all for a modest raise in rates, maybe 100-200 percent or more?

The Bush administration shackled the USPS by making them pay for unnecessary funding as well as milking them for their dollars.

Jeff, not all of us are enamored by the web or cell phones, we do use the USPS and depend on it.

You are free to use FedEx, UPS, the web, or whatever you choose, but don’t mess with my USPS with some flakey story.
